This Week's Intention: Unfurl your wings and stretch them wide. Find ways to broaden and expand your reach. Moon continues to swell and wax as our inner waters amplify with the rising tides. Past the half way mark of the lunar cycle now, Moon moves into the tenth tithi (phase) on Monday. Mercury is now exalted in Virgo, conjunct Rahu. Are you feeling the increase in communication, connection and creativity yet? Sun and Jupiter continue to track each other closely this week. Watch for soul burn and move towards the light. Venus and Mars are also closely conjunct this week in Cancer. Feel your heart wisdom, even if it hurts. The week begins with a debilitated Moon in Scorpio, leaving conjunction with Saturn. Indra rules the day until Moon jumps into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra Monday afternoon. The day of Moon (Monday) requires that we tend to our sensitivity as well as our senses. Are you being ruled by your wild horses or are you holding the reigns? Once Moon enters Mula nakshatra, attending to our inner wisdom is of the utmost importance. Jupiter's gaze offers extra nourishment and support but Mula's ruling deity, Nirrti, arrives with her chaos, sudden change and calamity. Her dark forces can keep us from aligning with our path and purpose as she is adharmic in nature. Are you seeking resources to align with your higher purpose? Are you a part of the chaos or able to stand in the center of the storm? Resource from the wisdom of the physical body. It's the only thing that will bring you back to the now. Tuesday, Nirrti and her sharp, cutting nature, continue to rule the first part of the day. Underneath her darkness, depth and spirituality can be accessed. Can you feel the other option, or are you caught in the challenge? Just after noon, Moon shifts to a fierce and severe nakshatra, PurvaAshada, and its ruling deity, Apas, brings another type of force with her. Today is yet another opportunity for change and transformation but this one comes with water and arrives through deep cleansing. Let water assist you with this process. Get into water, walk near it, allow the rain- in the form of tears if not from Nature herself. Jupiter and Sun are in exact conjunction. Cleanse your heart and soul! Let wisdom and truth be your power source! Ready to take your creative potential and turn it into a life of thriving?! Don't miss my online Creativity + Embodiment Immersion. Get the Details. Just before noon on Wednesday, Moon shifts to the latter half of the Ashada constellation, UttaraAshada. This star is fixed and stable, allowing nourishing sustainable activities to take hold. The Vishva Devas provide their universal goodness and help us align with the Laws of Nature in dynamic and powerful ways. Align with dharma, truth and positivity. Use gratitude to soften the heart. Shine, share and be seen for your purity and do good deeds. Early evening, Moon jumps to the hard working and tenacious, Capricorn. Saturn, Rahu, Mars and Venus give their gaze to the soft and tender Moon. Allow time to land and be with your feeling body. Work to soften your hard edges over the next few days. Early Thursday morning, Moon moves to a sacred constellation that is gently tucked in between UttaraAshada and Sravana nakshatra. This little known 28th nakshatra is called Abhijit and only covers about four degrees. This is a good time for prayer, meditation, setting intentions and being close to spirit. This time period will be from about 04:30 to 10:30, just before Moon shifts to Sravana nakshatra. Sravana nakshatra and its ruling deity, Vishnu, helps us align with the expansive forces of the universe. His purpose is to move us towards dharma and help us hear the wisdom being whispered in our ear from heaven, to the cosmos and back to earth. Listen carefully today and let your desires be known. Align your steps with life purpose and inner power. Jupiter and Sun are still tightly conjunct. Tend to your inner wisdom and let the power of the Sun burn away the impurities within you. If you're feeling the discomfort, open and awaken through gratitude and keep your body cool with Pitta pacifying foods and actions. Midmorning Friday, Moon shifts to Dhanishta nakshatra and the Vasu Devas bring us increased light or Jyoti. Sharing from your heart will prove the most valuable resource today. Be soft, focused and let the power of your heart wisdom be your spokesperson. Align and shine! Express, share and give your positive message to the world. What words of wisdom can you offer your tribe? Early evening Moon shifts to Saturn's other sign, Aquarius, where it receives the hot gaze Jupiter, Sun and Mars. Moon also moves into the 15th and final tithi (phase) at this time. Stay focused but don't get burned out or fried in the process. Are you pushing too hard? As Mercury closely conjuncts Rahu the mental body also intensifies. Shadow or strength? Illusion or awakening? The mental and emotional bodies are extra powerful right now- watch how you use them. Before sunrise on Saturday, Moon arrives into Satabisha nakshatra, Varuna's domain. Our health and wellness becomes a top priority during this high tide time. Full Moon is Saturday, August 29th at 11:34 Pacific Time. Moon is in Aquarius and Satabisha Nakshatra. Healing arrives with this full Moon, yet comes with a certain edge and harshness simultaneously. Satabisha nakshatra is ruled by Varuna, the guardian of Natural Law and right action. Nothing gets past his thousands of eyes that see everything. Satabisha can help us work with boundaries and our resistance. What is your relationship with inner and outer boundaries- physical and energetic? Let this full Moon be one of intentional healing- especially for the mental body. Get resourced, nourished and attend to self care diligently. Use this wisdom to guide you through the coming waning cycle. Attend and attune to sacred healing. Want the extended version of my New Moon Wisdom? Purchase my 2015 Moon Wisdom Calendar for extra cosmic insights. Get It. The close conjunction of exalted Mercury and Rahu continues. Attend to your mental body and be diligent with its stories, messages, memories and imaginal realms. Are you feeding it or aligning with its magical support? Using its amplification for change and healing or letting it run wild with you through illusion and delusion? Self track and get on top of it. In the early hours of Sunday morning, Moon arrives in the light and graceful nakshatra, Purvabhadra. Ajaikapada is the ruling deity, who helps us balance seemingly impossible tasks with ease and steadiness. Often he is referred to as a form of Shiva, Lord of the Dance. He steps between worlds, realms and dimensions, sharing depth, strength and purpose when he arrives. Let the wisdom come too, but let it enter from the body. What can your body-mind tell you about grounding and landing in the now? Before you jump forward, into the next cycle, day or moment, stop here, be present, be in the now. Use your feet to help you land and find your anchor. Moon shifts to Pisces early evening, joining Ketu. Both receive the intense mental body gaze of Mercury and Rahu. Find your release, letting go and deepen your surrender. Mars and Venus are closely conjunct right now. Soften to your heart wisdom and allow deep release. Tears and emotional body waves are a necessary part of this process. Let them out. Just before midnight, Moon shifts to the latter half of the Bhadrapada constellation, Uttarabhadra. Ruling deity, Ahirbudhnya, serpent of the netherworlds, helps us access our hidden, inner wisdom. It's there, can you find it? It's the hidden, dark and mysterious kind. It will come in flashes- suddenly provoking insight and shifts in perception. If your third eye is closed, you'll miss it. Let Monday continue to offer its awakening support. Keep looking and you'll find what you are seeking. *Timing used is Pacific Standard Time Zone. Ready to take your creative potential and turn it into a life of thriving?! The Moon swells and expands this week, asking us to respond to her increased flow. The most powerful full Moon of the year occurs late in the week and Saturn goes direct after four and half months of retrograde motion. Let out the exhale and find your release. Monday is influenced by Mercury as the Moon moves through Jyeshtha nakshatra, Indras constellation. With Moon transiting its debilitation sign, Scorpio and in Jyeshtha, extreme sensitivity and overwhelm can occur easily. The sensorial level of our being is easily impacted as well as the mental and emotional bodies. The mental body is extra sensitive right now in general- as Mercury and Sun are combust with Ketu's gaze. Frazzled and fried? What can you do to turn down the heat and defrag the system? Hint: Less is more. Remove anything unnecessary from your plate. August Jyotish Basics classes are open for enrollment. Early Bird price + special free gift is available for 48 hours only! Get the Details. Just as Tuesday begins, Moon jumps into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra. Nirrti, the dark goddess, arrives with her upheaval and removal tactics. Mars and Jupiter give their gaze, offering some clarity and tenacity to an otherwise delicate time. Can you get focused and clear? Aim high and meet your mark. Stay out of the chaos and overwhelm by landing and grounding as much as possible in the physical body. This will take courage but try to land on your feet. Mars moves to the edge of Gemini and is sandhi (in the gap). Soften your action steps and relax the mind. Meditation is an excellent use of your time today. PurvaAshada nakshatra starts the day on Wednesday, sharing the powerful flow of Apas and her watery ways. Her strength can be a blessing or an overwhelming inundation. If you've been feeling the pressure, it's time to open the floodgates and find the release valve. This may come with emotions and tears, but let them flow and cleanse you. Mercury begins to separate from close conjunction with the Sun and our mind begins to get some relief as well. Feeling the frustration still? Mars is at the edge of Gemini, still tickling our mental body with red and reaction. What is underneath the agitation? Find the need and see what action steps need to be taken for greater ease. Today, uproot and pull up old, inner weeds. Just before midnight, Moon shifts to UttaraAshada. Registration for August Jyotish Basics classes is closing on Friday, July 31st! Don't miss out on a month of support with your personal growth, healing and transformation. Get the Details. Day of the guru, Jupiter, arrives as Moon transits UttaraAshada. As Thursday arrives, Moon moves to Capricorn mid-morning, receiving drishti (gaze) from five planets simultaneously. Sun, Mercury, Mars, Rahu and Saturn offer a recipe for overwhelm and intensity, yet the Vishvadevas offer their support through resources and aligning with our truth. Look for flashes of insights and awareness regarding your gifts and inner wisdom. Listen carefully and align with your highest knowing. Trust your inner light to guide you. Catch yourself in the emotional extremism before you go down the rabbit hole. What do you need to do in order to ground and land in your body more fully? As the waxing Moon peaks, another planetary shift occurs. Mars moves to its debilitation sign, Cancer, joining Mercury and Sun here. On July 30th at 13:14, the warrior, fire planet moves to the watery and emotive sign of Cancer and will be here until mid September. These two forces naturally oppose each other as Mars is reactive and action oriented and Cancer is connected to feelings and the emotional body. Mars is not a thinker or a feeler, he is a doer. Conflicts between thoughts, feelings and actions occur in this cycle, however there is opportunity to bring light and greater awareness to our heart wisdom. If you feel irritation and anger, it's time to dig deeper. What are the needs underneath the outbursts? What expression needs to be released, rather than repressed? How can you tend to your emotional body wisdom with greater compassion and clarity? Ask yourself "Where am I pushing too hard?" Matters with home, heart, mother, land and property feel the extra level of fire and complexity right now. Be gentle and soften your heart wherever possible. Find ways to balance your action and non-action, as there may be confusion with how to move forward in this cycle with rest and activity. For those with prominent placements or strong influences of Mars in your chart, this is somewhat of a rest cycle for you. Pushing too hard will be counterproductive. Make your heart and home the priority. Moon is in the 15th tithi (purnima) and final phase of the waxing cycle as of the morning of July 30th. However, the fullest part of the Moon is not until Friday early in the morning. Late afternoon into late evening, Moon passes through the most sacred nakshatra of all, the little known 28th nakshatra, Abhijit. The domain of Abhijit is in between UttaraAshada and Sravana nakshatra- from 6 degrees 40 to 10 degrees 53. Use this time for meditation and sharing your intentions with the universe. As Moon shifts to Sravana late in the evening a more expansive sacredness arrives. Align with your intentions and seek clarity with your path. I'll be offering a free Creative Ritual web class for Guru Purnima. Make sure you're on the list. Friday begins with a sense of auspiciousness as Moon transits Sravana nakshatra. The fullest full Moon of the Vedic calendar, called Guru Purnima, is dedicated to gurus, teachers and honoring our spiritual lineage. The exact time of the full Moon is 03:42 am Pacific Time, while Moon is in Capricorn and Sravana nakshatra. This is the second full Moon of July and a powerful time to align with deep intention, sacredness and dharma. Attend to the wisdom within, honor your teachers and lineage, while using ritual to solidify your intentions. How can you clarify your path and commit to your purpose more fully? Sravana is Vishnu's constellation and he brings an expansiveness that can be transcendental and awakening. Vishnu's purpose is to uphold dharma, which he does through sound. Open your mind and see what you find. Root through the feet and let your body wisdom help you listen. Late evening, Moon shifts into Dhanishta nakshatra and the Vasu Devas come out to shine. Saturday is the day of Saturn, but Moon moves through a Mars ruled constellation, Dhanishta. Moon shifts to Aquarius mid morning, a sign ruled by both Saturn and Rahu and gives a nod to the 11th house of gains and friendships. Moon receives gaze from Jupiter and Venus as well as Mars. Passion, anyone? There is also a certain bright and shining light shared with this nakshatra. Natives often have a very distinct glow which is a gift from the Vasu Devas. They support our ability to be seen, noticed and wealthy- through our action steps. They bring the jyoti, the light and love us to align and activate dharma. Take an action step towards your dharma today that will make the Vasu Devas proud! Let your heart wisdom and emotional body guide you. Moon shifts to Satabisha nakshatra early evening. Just before 22:00, Saturn goes direct. I'll be doing cartwheels!! What about you?! This ends over four months of slow, intensified returns that have kicked up grief, sadness, loss and fears. Let out your breath, sigh with relief, notice where you've been holding on and seek release. Structure, focus, movement and stability begin to move in a forward direction. Find a new dance, step wisely, acknowledge your path and the road you have traveled. Find a place within where you can cultivate some new joy. Read more about Saturn in Scorpio. Sunday is ruled by Rahu and Varuna as the Moon transits through Satabisha nakshatra. Moon is waning and enters the 3rd tithi today, called tritiya, a Vishnu ruled Moon phase. Satabhisha and Varuna guard Natural Law, the laws of the universe. Nothing gets past Varuna's gaze and scrutiny. There is a certain healing and sacredness with this nakshatra, as well as harshness and an intensified critic. Can you dance with the devil but find your own drum beat? Moon shifts to the first half of Bhadrapada late afternoon. Keep dancing, even if it feels impossible. Let Ajaikapada help you balance overwhelm, uncertainty and upheaval. Stomp and kick up some dust. Count your steps and work your way through Monday with PurvaBhadrapada and Lord of the Dance. *Pacific Time Zone is used for all planetary timing. but stay grounded and embodied in the process. This Week's Intention: The deeper the release, the deeper the opening. How open and available are you for change? Monday begins with a waning Moon in Satabisha nakshatra, Varuna's domain. His symbol is an empty circle and he is connected to restraint. Varuna brings strong resistance at times but may be helpful with creating healthy boundaries. Are you resisting or avoiding? Are you conscious of this or pushing vital nourishment away? How can you say "yes and..." today- inviting in deeper nourishment yet also letting go of what no longer serves your truest needs? Say yes and stay open to possibilities for more of what truly serves you. Dance with both, with possibilities, with hope and trust the support to hold you. Just as Tuesday arrives, Moon moves to Purvabhadrapada nakshatra. Ajaikapada, another expression of Lord of the Dance, reminds us of the delicate dance of life. He helps us balance challenge and defeat mighty odds. He reminds us that we can stay grounded and rooted, while preparing for change and transition. He is here and he is there. Where are you? How are you staying grounded, yet open for change? As evening arrives, Moon shifts to Pisces, joining Ketu in this sign, while also receiving drishti from Rahu and Jupiter. Our emotional bodies become extra sensitive in the coming days. Self care is essential. Just before Wednesday begins, Moon moves to the latter half of the bhadrapada constellation, Uttarahadrapada, and the serpent of the deep, Ahirbudhnya enters with his deep inquiry and investigative awareness. Moon and Ketu are in exact conjunction today, creating extra sensitivity and the potential for abrupt shifts and changes in our emotional body. Tend to your inner needs, rest and do self care. Take time for a four level check-in and also for meditation today. Moon shifts to Revati nakshatra around midnight and greater nourishment arrives. Revati rules the day on Thursday, with its deity, Pushan, supporting our path with blessings, safety and fruitful offerings. As Moon moves away from Ketu, the rawness of our emotional body begins to re-stabalize. Mercury goes direct at 15:30 and the mental body resumes a forward inclination. Greater support and nourishment will be available now that we exit sheer clean-up mode. Enjoy the mental space and notice the mind clutter you removed during the past few weeks! Now is the time to get extra creative, more communicative and move towards new connections and collaborations. Moon is at the end of the zodiac now, symbolizing completion and release, letting go, and the finality of a cycle. Ready for the new? The new Moon is on the rise. We are each preparing for new beginnings with extra release right now. Pay special attention to loss and grief while tending to sadness that is emerging. The emotional body has much to share with us during this cycle. Just before Friday arrives, Moon jumps into Aries and Ashwini nakshatra. New beginnings, arrivals and openings enter. What are you inviting in? What needs to be tended to and released still for greater wholeness? The Ashwini-Kumara twins, ruling deities of this constellation, help us restore and revitalize with healing remedies, the arts, creative powers and rejuvenation. Tend to your physical body today and help it release and restore. As evening approaches, Moon moves to Bharani nakshatra. The transformative powers of Bharani nakshatra and its deity Yama, provide insights into our release and letting go process on Saturday. This is a fierce yet sensitive nakshatra, one that can ride the edge of hard and soft. Use your strength to make clear, executive decisions today that nurture your highest good. Notice where you are resisting and not allowing for greater nourishment to enter. As Moon moves through Aries, we may feel the increased pressure and frustration around support and nourishment. Trust and surrender, but tend to the emotions emerging. Early evening Moon shifts to Krittika at the edge of Aries, with an invitation for more clarity. Just as Sunday begins, the Moon shifts into its exaltation sign, Taurus, joining Sun, Mercury and Mars here. All receive gaze from Rahu and Saturn which undermines and intensifies our need for comfort and nourishment right now. Sunday requests that we purify and release with the help of Krittika nakshatra, which will continue to prepare us for the new Moon on Tuesday. Ruling deity, Agni, offers the added benefit of deeper insight and clarity right now. Purify, transform and let alchemy work its magic on your change process. Support the change process by intentionally attending to your own fire of life, your digestive fire. Sun and Mars are sandhi at the edge of Taurus. Monday arrives with Moon in its mulitrikona sign as Mars and Sun jump to Gemini. The emotional body is hot and focused on expansion. Where are you feeling suppressed? What needs do you have for expansion? Move towards the nourishment. *Time zone used for calculations is in Pacific Daylight Time unless otherwise noted. Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. Moon is waxing and the week starts off with Moon entering the beginning of the zodiac, Aries. Fresh beginnings and new starts are here! Mercury is retrograde, as is Jupiter, which makes for a sensation of expanding in reverse. Use this time for clean up and organization. *** As of this week, I'll be shifting my posts to reflect my current time zone- Pacific Standard. Please note the changes and updated time difference in regard to your own location. *** Monday, January 26th Today's Intention: Re-new and become new by re-imagining the old. Just minutes after midnight, Moon hops into Aries and Ashwini nakshatra, inviting in the Ashvini Kumara twins. They offer us healing, rejuvenation- and increased creativity as a result. Take action steps today that offer healing and restoration to you. With Moon out of the gaze of other planets, we may feel an increased awakening, room for possibility and greater expansion. The expansion is possible through re-tracing your steps, going over old territory, inviting in the old, but restructuring it to make it new. Moon moves to Bharani nakshatra at 21:39 PST. Tuesday, January 27th Today's Intention: Plot, hunt and focus on your goals with tenacity. Moon transits Bharani nakshatra, Yama and Venus's domain. As the king of dharma, Yama determines whether our efforts are worthy of our time in this life, or whether we missed the mark. His ability to restrain us from overindulgence can keep us from misery. There is a certain one-pointedness available to us today, as well as a warrior spirit. Make sure your energy and efforts align with your long term goals and desires- the ones that have depth and purpose for your life. The auspicious ninth tithi or Moon phase, Navami, is enlivened today. It is connected to the Sun and the deity Naga, which can help us awaken some depth and awareness. Venus moves to Satabisha nakshatra at 20:51 PST, enlivening Varuna, the deity who rules over judgement and deep vision. Varuna handles Natural Law and enforces them by handing us our karmas, our actions and re-actions. It is very important to pay close attention to subtleties at this time, to deeply listen, in order to awaken to the truths of Nature. This awareness can help us re-establish a sense of order in our lives. Not out of fear or punishment, sacrifice or pain, but because we naturally align with Nature and her laws of wisdom and truth. As Venus transit through Satabisha, our inner creative waters can find more grace, fluidity and intensity simultaneously. Use this time to make an impact on your life. Take strong action and do what you know is best for yourself and others. Study the transits, learn the wisdom of jyotish, gather insights for your healing and transformation in my new class series: Jyotish Basics for Transformation and Healing. First class is this Sunday and registration ends Friday. Sign Up. Moon moves to Krittika, near the edge of Aries, at 21:36 PST. Wednesday, January 28th Today's Intention: Wield your sword with confidence. Moon transits Krittika nakshatra and jumps into Taurus at 03:41 am PST, becoming exalted for a few hours- until late morning. Agni is the ruler of this constellation and offers us a sharp transformation through purification processes. The emotional body fullness will be felt strongly so prepare for emotional diligence today. With Saturn giving direct gaze to the Moon from Scorpio, we can expect an underlying depression or fear to settle in. Mars and Rahu also give their gaze to the Moon, offering a strong edge with a dose of shadow. The mental body plays a role in the experience of the emotions today because of Mercury's conjunction with the Sun (Krittika's ruling planet); this increases our mental sharpness. We can direct this focus into meaningful tasks, or let it take us down the rabbit hole. Don't get caught up in "shoulda, coulda, woulda" today. Be diligent with your 3 level check-in so that you can easily navigate your inner dialogue. Need a reminder about the three levels? Moon shifts to Rohini at 22:06 PST. Thursday, January 29th Today's Intention: Make a greater creative impact today. Moon is considered in its mulitrikona sign as it transits through the remainder of Taurus. This is a place that the Moon can more fully express its creativity, sensuality, charisma and playfulness. Mulitrikona placement offers a planet the ability to express their energy at 75%. As Moon transits through Rohini, creative themes are exemplified. Rohini is ruled by lord Brahma, the ultimate God expression of creativity. By now, we have been feeling the refinement process of Moon receiving gaze from Saturn, Rahu and Mars. Today, we have a more porous experience, and less rigidity than yesterday. Let the wisdom seep into your pores. How is the struggle softening you, awakening you, opening you to possibility? Use this to spark your creative energy and focus your expansion efforts. Expand your creative channels and let the life pulse through you. Moon shifts into Mrigashirsha nakshatra at 23:06 PST. Friday, January 30th Today's Intention: Extend your branches into new realms. Mars moves to Purvabhadrapada today, enlivening Ajaikapada, the domain of Shiva, lord of the dance. It will be our tenacity, our warrior spirit and our action steps, that will help us accomplish seemingly impossible feats in the coming weeks. Ajaikapada stands with one foot firmly grounded, rooted in the earth, while the other foot is lifted, poised and ready to take a step. This represents continual movement, growth and change, as well as balancing the impossible. Symbolically, one foot is firmly grounded in the now, while the other is lifted into the unknown. Use very conscious action steps in the coming two weeks. Be diligent, conscious, strategic and poised for action. Moon transits through the latter half of Taurus and is in Mrigashirsha nakshatra today. The deity of this nakshatra is Soma, while the symbol is a deer head with large, reaching antlers. The ruling planet of Mrigashirsha is Mars, while the deity, Soma is connected to the Moon. The combination of elements and symbols here expresses much movement, change and growth as a result of the constant movement. Like antlers that continue to spread out and expand, then drop off, only to re-grow, we can connect with these cycles of renewal for our own life expansion. This is literally how we are fed and nourished by life. Last day to register for my new class offering, Jyotish Basics for Transformation and Healing!! Register here. Moon moves to Gemini at 11:45 am PST. Saturday, January 31st Today's Intention: Channel the power of your inner volcano and move mountains. Moon shifts into Ardra nakshatra just after midnight at 00:31 am PST, inviting in Rudra's powerful and tenacious strength and grande emotional waves. He moves things with his strength and ferocity which often stirs our anger and rage. Anger is connected to our power source within and must be treated as a flashing red light of awakening. What slumber do you need to awaken from? What is holding you back? What part of you is holding you back from experiencing your fullness? Now is the time to clear and clean up the mental body. The old stories and illusions that are keeping you from realizing your full potential. Track your mental body diligently today and see where it is causing eruptions. Sunday, February 1st Today's Intention: Expand what you think is possible. Moon moves to Punarvasu nakshatra at 02:21 am PST, and Aditi is ushered in. To smooth out the ruffles of yesterday, Aditi arrives to create expansion and awareness from the rubble within. She knits us back together with her wholeness, her unity consciousness. From this wholeness we get our needs met, we get the nourishment we need and our needs are taken care of. Jyotish Basics for Transformation and Healing begins today at 3pm PST. Did you register? Moon moves to Cancer at 21:56 PST. Monday, February 2nd Moon transits through its own sign, Cancer, with retrograde Jupiter here as well. Both receive drishti from conjunct Sun and Mercury. Nourishment deepens as we reflect on our deepest needs and desires. What serves us and what is not serving us? What can we clean up within our heart in order to clean up our life and properly expand? My Jyotish Basics Classes begin this Sunday, February 1st! Don't miss out on these transformational and healing classes. Get the details.

Please share it with a friend! Thank you. The week begins with a deep, waning Moon. New Moon is Tuesday morning while in Capricorn. Capricorn is the center of attention right now and presents us with themes for the coming waxing cycle. Read more here. Two big shifts this week- Mercury goes retrograde and Venus moves to Aquarius. Later in the week, Aquarius asks for our attention as Venus moves to this sign, where Mars is already, and Moon passes through as well. Monday, January 19th Today's Intention: Purify, cleanse and restore. As Moon continues to transit Sagittarius and PurvaAshada nakshatra, there is a deepening of release happening. Let the release come through purifying and cleansing practices, through ritual and sacred acts. Use water and the emotional body tides to inspire the purification process. Be gentle and nourishing to yourself and others today. Do so by listening deeply to your emotional body wisdom. Moon enters the 15th tithi today, the final phase of the waning cycle, and shifts into UttaraAshada nakshatra at 16:04 CST, inviting in the Vishva Devas and a strong sense of integrity. What drives you and motivates you to be the best you? What are the best parts of yourself that you wish to share with the world? Tuesday, January 20th Today's Intention: Get clear and get focused, but don't forget to leave room for daydreams. Moon transits Capricorn and UttaraAshada nakshatra with Sun, Mercury and Venus in Capricorn as well. Rahu, Jupiter and Saturn all give their drishti to these four planets. Feeling pulled in too many directions? Too many irons in the fire? The hardest thing to do right now is simplify. Do your best. New Moon is at 07:14 am CST while in Capricorn and UttaraAshada. This is a very powerful new Moon with strong Capricorn themes. Strong creativity is available to us and can be maximized with a strong, clear and direct channel. Give your creativity purpose and clarity and you can enlarge what is possible for your self. This is a time where we are learning to direct our flow. Read more about this new Moon and the intention for the coming waxing cycle. Moon shifts into Sravana nakshatra at 13:28 CST, enlivening Vishnu and his expansiveness. Mercury is here as well, which invites in creative expansion from the mental body level. Let the mind, the imagination, expand your life vision, your sense of purpose and dharma. Solidify your intention and expand your container of what is possible for yourself. Wednesday, January 21st Today's Intention: Your only job is to share your life light. Mercury goes retrograde at 09:51 am CST and will be moving back through Capricorn now until February 11th. Despite what many believe, retrograde cycles are not chaos cycles where life goes haywire. They are, however, cycles for us to re-trace our steps, recycle our thoughts and intentions, and to clean up any details we may have missed on the first go round. In fact, these rewind cycles are a gift! If we use these cycles intentionally, we get a chance to re-do what we may have neglected previously. Read more about retrograde Mercury cycles. The retrograde planet will determine what we are re-examining, and how that shows up for us in our life experience. Mercury is the planet that correlates to our mental body, our imaginal realms. It is the planet of communication, commerce, writing and connecting. It likes to speak, share, create and co-create. As Mercury will be walking back through Capricorn for the next three weeks, this is an ideal time to find very clear containers, structures and frames for your creativity, communication and connection. Retrograde Jupiter gives his drishti to Mercury at this time, creating a double return of old territory, including emotional body wisdom and themes connected to heart and home. Boundary work is essential right now. Think in terms of organizing all aspects of your life and tidying up old, dusty corners of you mind. If life is a closet, go to Ikea and get the proper shelving and filing systems for yourself. If the closet is the mind, get clear and organized about what "best practice" is for yourself in work, career and your life offerings. Re-commit to enlivening your dreams and making them real. Keep moving towards what makes your heart full of joy. Your passions are your life's work. Make space for them. Take intentional action steps and don't waste energy unnecessarily. Track your emotional and mental bodies for insights. Shortly after Mercury goes retrograde, Moon shifts into Dhanishta nakshatra at 10:42 am CST, home of the Vasu Devas, the shining stars. Creativity, light and sharing one's light are all assisted by the Vasu Devas. As we shine our light, our innate gifts and dharmic purpose, we gain and acquire increased support and assistance, abundance and prosperity. Authentically offering one's inner light, attracts more of the same. We can give thanks to the Vasu Devas for their support with this shining process. Today, re-visit your life message, your light message, what makes life worth living. Hone your intention for being alive. Moon moves to Aquarius at 21:19 CST, joining Mars here. Thursday, January 22nd Today's Intention: Look for sparks and let them inspire your healing. Moon is waxing now and enters the third tithi (tritiya) today. As Moon moves into Satabisha nakshatra at 07:57 am CST, Varuna and Rahu are enlivened. Moon conjoins Mars in Aquarius which intensifies our emotional body experience with a range of feelings from agitation and anger, to passion and ferocity. Varuna can provoke a deep inner awareness and help us align more intentionally with the Laws of Nature. Emotional body depth is increased today, so utilize this for greater awareness about your needs. Allow the emotional body to intensify your inner vision more deeply. Harvest your findings and extract them for healing. What do your emotions tell you about what is working in your life? What do they tell you is not working? What or who, is the emotion directed towards? What is the underlying need for nourishment and support under this emotion? Seek the wisdom of your inner tides and use this to spark increased consciousness, depth and healing. Or you could just stay angry. Need a step by step ritual to help you identify what you need? Do a three level check in. Venus moves to Aquarius at 14:30 CST, joining Moon and Mars here as well. With Venus transiting Dhanishta nakshatra still (a Mars ruled star) there is an increased sense of passion and intensity with all things creative, relational and feminine today. Bottle this and dole it out slowly in the coming weeks! Venus chases Mars through Aquarius for the next three weeks before Mars moves into Pisces on February 11th. This combination makes for a fire and water dance that can help us intensify our passion, or help us get burned by it. The way to work with this energy is to channel it into proper containers- unique, new and different types of containers. This is an opportunity for us to maximize our creativity, to increase our passion, and to ignite our desires. How we use this heightened passion is really important. Do we use it to awaken? Or do we let our creative energy go off like a firecracker, then dissolve into burn out? Relationships may come on strong at this time so direct the flow of love and channel it intentionally. Let all love flow to the heart. Even the strictly second chakra kind! Friday, January 23rd Today's Intention: Walking leads to dancing. Do both. Moon shifts into PurvaBhadrapada nakshatra at 05:25 am CST and Ajaikapada and Jupiter rise into our day. Ajaikapada is a Rudra, which means he has immense strength and power. He stands on on one leg- one foot firmly grounded, the other one in the air poised and ready to step. Symbolically, one foot is here, while the other is in another realm. This nakshatra has to do with endings, transformations, and the purification that occurs during this process. It is not the easy part, but the necessary part. When life feels challenging, like it's a struggle, it is usually because we've outgrown some old aspect of ourselves. Every ending leads to a new beginning. As the saying goes, when you're walking through hell, just keep walking. Today, step intentionally and invite in your new sacred dance. It is the day of Venus (Friday) and Venus is in young degrees, having newly entered Aquarius. Be gentle with your relationships today and attend to self care needs through creativity, dance and nature. Ground through the creative and sync up with your inner waters. Moon is waxing and shifts into the 5th tithi (lunar phase) late in the evening. This marks the first third of the waxing cycle. Moon moves to Pisces at 21:43 CST. Saturday, January 24th Today's Intention: Heal and transform by deeply letting go. Moon shifts to the latter half of the Bhadrapada stars at 03:12 am CST, enlivening UttaraBhadrapada and Ahirbudhnya, the serpent of the deep. This serpent energy helps us go beyond the surface, to explore parts of ourselves that may go unnoticed or unattended. The symbol of the Bhadrapadas is the funeral cot. As the latter half of this constellation, UttaraBhadrapada rules over the back half of the funeral cot, or the final letting go. There is some release possible today, if we are willing to go deep into our subconscious, our mental body, for further inquiry. With retrograde Mercury well under way, now is the time to be intentional with re-visiting your old, outworn thinking patterns. As Saturn rules the day and this nakshatra, using the physical body to help you access your inner depths will be extra potent. Use gentle movement and embodiment practices to help you get there. Sun moves to Sravana nakshatra at 03:17 am CST, joining a tight conjunction with retrograde Mercury there as well. The themes for the coming week are all expansion oriented- on the level of consciousness. Think bigger, and life gets bigger. It's our mental body, our imaginal realm, that can help us create the unseen into manifest form. With this tight conjunction occurring, don't let mental frazzle get the best of you. Mentally fried? It's a good time to meditate, dive deeply, and restore. Then use the clarity to get task oriented and fully organized. Take this reminder into your coming week. Sunday, January 25th Today's Intention: Lead yourself back to the nourishment that's already within you. Moon moves to Revati nakshatra at 01:28 am CST, the final nakshatra in the cosmic wheel, before we start a new cycle. Revati is a nourishing star that provides us with safe and fruitful journey's. Its ruling deity is Pushan, who helps us prosper by leading us back to our flock, back to our path, when we stray. He leads us to the nourishment, the essential ingredients for success. I liken Pushan to our intuition. When we have a strong connection to our intuitive knowing, we can trust ourselves, our choices, our actions, and the universe to provide exactly what we need. Let today inspire this gentle attention to your intuitive wisdom by allowing space for the emotional body to share with you. The mental body will be strong and sharp, with an agenda all of its own. The trick today is to go beyond this and to listen to the wisdom coming from your emotions instead. What nourishment can you gather from this place of deep listening? What does your emotional body share with you about your needs? Do a three level check in for clues. Monday, January 26th Just minutes after midnight, Moon hops into Aries and Ashwini nakshatra, inviting in the Ashvini Kumara twins. They offer us healing, rejuvenation and increased creativity as a result. Take action steps today that offer healing and restoration to you.
