With the major shifts of last week behind us, we see another wave of change arriving late in the week. New Moon on Friday in conjunction with a total solar eclipse, followed by the beginning of Vasant Navaratri on Saturday, invites in deep release. This is a very inward time- don't be fooled by the intensity and chaos forcing movement and change! The best use of our time is to turn within, gathering our strength and resources, seeking clarity and stability. A deeper external cycle is to come, but don't rush it. Monday begins with an interesting focus on the Moon. Three retrograde planets will give drishti to Moon who transits Capricorn. Retrograde Jupiter, Saturn and Rahu (he always moves in reverse) provoke themes from the past. Our efforts, heart and home, as well as a need for renewed clarity and structure surface. Allow yourself to expand into new territory and become aware of possible resources as you do so. Stay awake and open to receive what arrives. Don't forget to say thank you. Rise and shine on Tuesday. Take lemons and make them into lemonade. Keep on the sunny side of life and work with gaining momentum with your ideas, goals and career endeavors. Moon has moved to the 14th tithi by Wednesday, inviting in a deepening inward experience as we near Amavasya, or the new Moon. Satabisha nakshatra is awakened by the Moon today and we may notice a harsher edge arrive on the mental and emotional body levels. This critical edge can help us bring awareness to our needs. What is working? What is not? How can these inner challenges help us find new pathways of being? Take your challenges into change and solutions. Seek healing through renewal. Have you signed up for my *free* Jyotish Basics Class on Saturday, March 21st? Don't miss out on this free class! I will be sharing how to deepen your self awareness through tracking the Moon and transits. I'm excited to share my favorite tips, tricks and resources with you! Sign up for details. Thursday invites us to deepen our dance with emotions and mind. What is our relationship with the emotional body and the mental body? Can we navigate their differences consciously? It may feel that we are balancing opposing forces today. Keep one foot firmly grounded and let the other prepare for a big leap forward. We are each stepping into very new territory at this time with an invitation to open doors of possibility. Pay attention for clues. Your mind may be telling you one thing, but listening to your emotional body and intuition are truly most important. As Moon arrives into the 15th tithi today, the final phase of the waning cycle, we will be feeling pulls to our depths. Let self inquiry and soft listening be a priority. The new Moon arrives on Friday, March 20 at 04:37 CDT while Moon is in Pisces and Uttara Bhadra Nakshatra. Spring equinox (northern hemisphere) starts today! A Solar Eclipse occurs with the new Moon beginning at 02:41 CDT and ends at 06:50 CDT. Eclipses represent the shadowed self, our inner darkness that must come to the light. The solar eclipse brings shadows on the Sun, the ego and the masculine, ultimately our inner power. In the Vedic tradition, this is not a time to take risks, start new endeavors, or to over-exert. It is a time, however, of turning inward, of meditation and contemplation and a time to take extra care of the physical body with good routine etc. This eclipse marks a delicate two week period between eclipses which will end with a lunar eclipse and full Moon on April 4th. Traditionally starting new endeavors during this delicate eclipse period is not advised. Want to know more about this new Moon, its theme and impact on you? My 2015 Moon Wisdom Calendar gives you this and more!! Get the details. Friday brings a sense of juggling multiple tasks. We may feel urgency to make change. Anger, frustrations and overwhelm may set in. Be diligent with the emotions that are emerging and take notes. What themes are you noticing from your personal mythology? What are you ready to change in order to create something different? This is a time of deep release and re-structuring. Expand towards what nourishes you. The nine day celebration of the Divine Mother, Vasant Navaratri, begins Saturday with Moon in Pisces conjunct Mars, Sun and Ketu. All four planets receive drishti from retrograde Jupiter and Rahu, intensifying the feeling of being expanded and pulled in multiple directions. Balance is a key reminder today. Spend time meditating, getting embodied and taking time to restore and relax. Do less and accomplish more- even though it will feel extra challenging. Use today for total rejuvenation. Read more about Vasant Navaratri and how to make the most of this sacred time. I'll be sharing a 10 Day Self Care Challenge in my newsletter in the coming days for some extra resources. Make sure you're on my list. Join me for my *free* Jyotish Basics Class on Saturday, March 21st! I'll be sharing my favorite tips, tricks and resources to help you track the Moon in order to help you deepen your self tracking process. Sign up for details. Moon joins Venus in Aries on Sunday. Start your day with the intention of restoration and release. Use the latter half of your day to connect in meaningful ways, to deepen and transform your relationships. Expect some bumps and challenges with this process, but trust the re-structuring process occurring right now. All of our relationships- with self and with others- are shifting at this time. Mars moves to the edge of Pisces and prepares to jump into the tricky gandanta (junction point) between Pisces and Aries. A deep transformation of our warrior nature is being confronted at this time. This placement requires surrender and an intention of allowing in new possibilities. Let go of your agenda for now. Sunday is the second day of Navaratri and the second of three dedicated to the fierce goddess Maha Durga. Now is the time to be using your inner power to let go of and release the parts of your self that are no longer serving your highest self. This theme of relationships caries us through Monday. Be mindful about how you are connecting, and who you are connecting with. My next *free* Jyotish Basics Class is March 21st. Don't miss out on this transformational and healing class to help you track the Moon and its influences upon you. Sign up for details. Need some extra guidance and clarity? This Week's Intention: Let the stirring within you take root. Tend to these new sprouts with care and intention.

The week begins with a deep, waning Moon. New Moon is Tuesday morning while in Capricorn. Capricorn is the center of attention right now and presents us with themes for the coming waxing cycle. Read more here. Two big shifts this week- Mercury goes retrograde and Venus moves to Aquarius. Later in the week, Aquarius asks for our attention as Venus moves to this sign, where Mars is already, and Moon passes through as well. Monday, January 19th Today's Intention: Purify, cleanse and restore. As Moon continues to transit Sagittarius and PurvaAshada nakshatra, there is a deepening of release happening. Let the release come through purifying and cleansing practices, through ritual and sacred acts. Use water and the emotional body tides to inspire the purification process. Be gentle and nourishing to yourself and others today. Do so by listening deeply to your emotional body wisdom. Moon enters the 15th tithi today, the final phase of the waning cycle, and shifts into UttaraAshada nakshatra at 16:04 CST, inviting in the Vishva Devas and a strong sense of integrity. What drives you and motivates you to be the best you? What are the best parts of yourself that you wish to share with the world? Tuesday, January 20th Today's Intention: Get clear and get focused, but don't forget to leave room for daydreams. Moon transits Capricorn and UttaraAshada nakshatra with Sun, Mercury and Venus in Capricorn as well. Rahu, Jupiter and Saturn all give their drishti to these four planets. Feeling pulled in too many directions? Too many irons in the fire? The hardest thing to do right now is simplify. Do your best. New Moon is at 07:14 am CST while in Capricorn and UttaraAshada. This is a very powerful new Moon with strong Capricorn themes. Strong creativity is available to us and can be maximized with a strong, clear and direct channel. Give your creativity purpose and clarity and you can enlarge what is possible for your self. This is a time where we are learning to direct our flow. Read more about this new Moon and the intention for the coming waxing cycle. Moon shifts into Sravana nakshatra at 13:28 CST, enlivening Vishnu and his expansiveness. Mercury is here as well, which invites in creative expansion from the mental body level. Let the mind, the imagination, expand your life vision, your sense of purpose and dharma. Solidify your intention and expand your container of what is possible for yourself. Wednesday, January 21st Today's Intention: Your only job is to share your life light. Mercury goes retrograde at 09:51 am CST and will be moving back through Capricorn now until February 11th. Despite what many believe, retrograde cycles are not chaos cycles where life goes haywire. They are, however, cycles for us to re-trace our steps, recycle our thoughts and intentions, and to clean up any details we may have missed on the first go round. In fact, these rewind cycles are a gift! If we use these cycles intentionally, we get a chance to re-do what we may have neglected previously. Read more about retrograde Mercury cycles. The retrograde planet will determine what we are re-examining, and how that shows up for us in our life experience. Mercury is the planet that correlates to our mental body, our imaginal realms. It is the planet of communication, commerce, writing and connecting. It likes to speak, share, create and co-create. As Mercury will be walking back through Capricorn for the next three weeks, this is an ideal time to find very clear containers, structures and frames for your creativity, communication and connection. Retrograde Jupiter gives his drishti to Mercury at this time, creating a double return of old territory, including emotional body wisdom and themes connected to heart and home. Boundary work is essential right now. Think in terms of organizing all aspects of your life and tidying up old, dusty corners of you mind. If life is a closet, go to Ikea and get the proper shelving and filing systems for yourself. If the closet is the mind, get clear and organized about what "best practice" is for yourself in work, career and your life offerings. Re-commit to enlivening your dreams and making them real. Keep moving towards what makes your heart full of joy. Your passions are your life's work. Make space for them. Take intentional action steps and don't waste energy unnecessarily. Track your emotional and mental bodies for insights. Shortly after Mercury goes retrograde, Moon shifts into Dhanishta nakshatra at 10:42 am CST, home of the Vasu Devas, the shining stars. Creativity, light and sharing one's light are all assisted by the Vasu Devas. As we shine our light, our innate gifts and dharmic purpose, we gain and acquire increased support and assistance, abundance and prosperity. Authentically offering one's inner light, attracts more of the same. We can give thanks to the Vasu Devas for their support with this shining process. Today, re-visit your life message, your light message, what makes life worth living. Hone your intention for being alive. Moon moves to Aquarius at 21:19 CST, joining Mars here. Thursday, January 22nd Today's Intention: Look for sparks and let them inspire your healing. Moon is waxing now and enters the third tithi (tritiya) today. As Moon moves into Satabisha nakshatra at 07:57 am CST, Varuna and Rahu are enlivened. Moon conjoins Mars in Aquarius which intensifies our emotional body experience with a range of feelings from agitation and anger, to passion and ferocity. Varuna can provoke a deep inner awareness and help us align more intentionally with the Laws of Nature. Emotional body depth is increased today, so utilize this for greater awareness about your needs. Allow the emotional body to intensify your inner vision more deeply. Harvest your findings and extract them for healing. What do your emotions tell you about what is working in your life? What do they tell you is not working? What or who, is the emotion directed towards? What is the underlying need for nourishment and support under this emotion? Seek the wisdom of your inner tides and use this to spark increased consciousness, depth and healing. Or you could just stay angry. Need a step by step ritual to help you identify what you need? Do a three level check in. Venus moves to Aquarius at 14:30 CST, joining Moon and Mars here as well. With Venus transiting Dhanishta nakshatra still (a Mars ruled star) there is an increased sense of passion and intensity with all things creative, relational and feminine today. Bottle this and dole it out slowly in the coming weeks! Venus chases Mars through Aquarius for the next three weeks before Mars moves into Pisces on February 11th. This combination makes for a fire and water dance that can help us intensify our passion, or help us get burned by it. The way to work with this energy is to channel it into proper containers- unique, new and different types of containers. This is an opportunity for us to maximize our creativity, to increase our passion, and to ignite our desires. How we use this heightened passion is really important. Do we use it to awaken? Or do we let our creative energy go off like a firecracker, then dissolve into burn out? Relationships may come on strong at this time so direct the flow of love and channel it intentionally. Let all love flow to the heart. Even the strictly second chakra kind! Friday, January 23rd Today's Intention: Walking leads to dancing. Do both. Moon shifts into PurvaBhadrapada nakshatra at 05:25 am CST and Ajaikapada and Jupiter rise into our day. Ajaikapada is a Rudra, which means he has immense strength and power. He stands on on one leg- one foot firmly grounded, the other one in the air poised and ready to step. Symbolically, one foot is here, while the other is in another realm. This nakshatra has to do with endings, transformations, and the purification that occurs during this process. It is not the easy part, but the necessary part. When life feels challenging, like it's a struggle, it is usually because we've outgrown some old aspect of ourselves. Every ending leads to a new beginning. As the saying goes, when you're walking through hell, just keep walking. Today, step intentionally and invite in your new sacred dance. It is the day of Venus (Friday) and Venus is in young degrees, having newly entered Aquarius. Be gentle with your relationships today and attend to self care needs through creativity, dance and nature. Ground through the creative and sync up with your inner waters. Moon is waxing and shifts into the 5th tithi (lunar phase) late in the evening. This marks the first third of the waxing cycle. Moon moves to Pisces at 21:43 CST. Saturday, January 24th Today's Intention: Heal and transform by deeply letting go. Moon shifts to the latter half of the Bhadrapada stars at 03:12 am CST, enlivening UttaraBhadrapada and Ahirbudhnya, the serpent of the deep. This serpent energy helps us go beyond the surface, to explore parts of ourselves that may go unnoticed or unattended. The symbol of the Bhadrapadas is the funeral cot. As the latter half of this constellation, UttaraBhadrapada rules over the back half of the funeral cot, or the final letting go. There is some release possible today, if we are willing to go deep into our subconscious, our mental body, for further inquiry. With retrograde Mercury well under way, now is the time to be intentional with re-visiting your old, outworn thinking patterns. As Saturn rules the day and this nakshatra, using the physical body to help you access your inner depths will be extra potent. Use gentle movement and embodiment practices to help you get there. Sun moves to Sravana nakshatra at 03:17 am CST, joining a tight conjunction with retrograde Mercury there as well. The themes for the coming week are all expansion oriented- on the level of consciousness. Think bigger, and life gets bigger. It's our mental body, our imaginal realm, that can help us create the unseen into manifest form. With this tight conjunction occurring, don't let mental frazzle get the best of you. Mentally fried? It's a good time to meditate, dive deeply, and restore. Then use the clarity to get task oriented and fully organized. Take this reminder into your coming week. Sunday, January 25th Today's Intention: Lead yourself back to the nourishment that's already within you. Moon moves to Revati nakshatra at 01:28 am CST, the final nakshatra in the cosmic wheel, before we start a new cycle. Revati is a nourishing star that provides us with safe and fruitful journey's. Its ruling deity is Pushan, who helps us prosper by leading us back to our flock, back to our path, when we stray. He leads us to the nourishment, the essential ingredients for success. I liken Pushan to our intuition. When we have a strong connection to our intuitive knowing, we can trust ourselves, our choices, our actions, and the universe to provide exactly what we need. Let today inspire this gentle attention to your intuitive wisdom by allowing space for the emotional body to share with you. The mental body will be strong and sharp, with an agenda all of its own. The trick today is to go beyond this and to listen to the wisdom coming from your emotions instead. What nourishment can you gather from this place of deep listening? What does your emotional body share with you about your needs? Do a three level check in for clues. Monday, January 26th Just minutes after midnight, Moon hops into Aries and Ashwini nakshatra, inviting in the Ashvini Kumara twins. They offer us healing, rejuvenation and increased creativity as a result. Take action steps today that offer healing and restoration to you. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. Saturn has now shifted into Anuradha nakshatra for the next year. Moon is waxing and brings us a full Moon this week while the Moon is simultaneously exalted. There will be high energy for this one! This week, we also experience Venus moving out of Scorpio and into Sagittarius, reducing some of the pressure within Scorpio. Exalted Jupiter is at the edge of Cancer now; this is our final week until the spring where we will have a forward moving Jupiter. Next week he goes retrograde on the 8th. Read more about Jupiter in Cancer.
Monday, December 1st Today's Intention: Step slowly, step eloquently, step purposefully. Your steps really add up. As of Sunday, November 30th, Saturn moved into Anuradha nakshatra at 08:54 am CST and will be in this lunar constellation for a little over a year. This is a good shift for Saturn to make and it will likely be a valuable transit for helping us put the pieces together in our lives that need to be re-assembled, re-stored and re-aligned, in order for greater wholeness. Since Saturn is in Scorpio, it's very definitely a time of deconstruction, change and transformation, yet with Saturn transiting the friendly star of Anuradha, ruled by Mitra, we have a chance to create some helpful and lasting changes for ourselves- if we are willing and able to work with the finer details of our lives. Mitra is the deity of friendship, so expect him to offer support and resources for building alliances over the course of 2015. Anuradha is ruled by Saturn, so this is a constellation that does well with Saturn's finite abilities. Gain resources through networking, connecting, sharing, being benevolent, speaking the sweet truth. It will, however, be very important to remember the big picture over the next year, as Mitra and Saturn may get us lost in the fine details of life, forgetting the bigger, overall, reality of existence. Read more about the Saturn in Scorpio transit. Moon is transiting Pisces with Ketu there, and receives drishti from Rahu and Jupiter. Moon transits UttaraBhadrapada, enlivening its deity Ahirbudhnya. He is the serpent of the nether realms, who helps us today with uncovering hidden parts of ourselves. He is a Rudra, a strong force of Nature, one that can remove calamities, misfortunes and can help us overcome obstacles. With Moon in conjunction with Ketu and receiving gaze from Rahu, it's important to remember self care guidelines, and pay special attention to your emotional body. Flashes of insight and awareness may arrive today, yet may trigger discomfort. Work with your discomfort effectively, invite it in for a cup of tea, and begin to find a new relationship with your disillusionment. Now's the time to transform your shadow parts with so much energy enlivening Scorpio. Moon shifts into Revati nakshatra at 13:43 CST, inviting in Pushan and Mercury. Pushan offers us safe travels and nourishment along the way. As Moon nears exact conjunction with Ketu late in the evening, we may feel our sensitivity and our fragility increase, and therefor gain greater access to our needs. Use this time for self care and giving yourself sacred space to feel, sense and imagine. As Cyber Monday closes, Ketu (who rules the internet) may bring some sudden and last minute purchases online. Use the Ketu/Moon conjunction to take sudden or swift action steps. Tuesday, December 2nd Today's Intention: All we need is tender loving care. Moon transits Revati nakshatra, but has crossed over Ketu, separating from him now. Nearing the edge of Pisces, Moon prepares to jump into a new cycle around the zodiac. Ketu continues to reflect his light onto Scorpio where Venus, Sun, Saturn and Mercury are currently transiting. This is the sign that is Moon's place of debilitation, thus the past few days have been a strong emotional body reflection time. Many of us have been feeling that intensity and perhaps looking at ourselves under a microscope. This is a good time to balance this extreme introspection with a wide angle lens, the macroscopic view. Seek resources and reflections from others that can remind you of this. As Moon jumps into Aries at 12:52 CST and we experience a sudden shift. This is a tricky junction point for any planet to cross. Not only is it a pivotal crossing from the end of the zodiac (12th house matters) to the beginning of the zodiac (1st house matters), but Pisces is ruled by water, whereas Aries is ruled by fire. Any planet that shifts from water into fire can feel as though it's literally jumping into the fire! Not comfortable. This coupled with the fact that the zodiac begins with Ashwini nakshatra, ruled by Ketu, so we get this lens intensifying our experience for yet another day. Take it easy today and note the delicacy of the Moon, its shift, and the extreme energy in Scorpio right now. Three level check-ins will help you come back into the now and help you name your needs, affirming what will nourish and comfort you. Sun shifts into Jyeshtha nakshatra at 17:44 CST and moves into Indra's domain. Indra rules our senses, so the coming days give us ample opportunities to work diligently with the sensory level of existence. The senses are the very human parts of our being- they bring us to life and they can also over power us, get us into trouble, and destroy us. Indra reminds us to work with them, not against them. We can't neglect them, yet we can't let them run away with us either. Balance is essential. We find balance when we are in right relationship with our senses. How do we do that? Well the first step is to start building a healthy, aware, and conscious relationship with our senses, and our pranic life force, our breath. Working with the 3 levels of awareness will help us name what is arriving in any given moment on the mental, emotional and physical levels of life. Getting embodied is the missing link. Here are some tips. Moon shifts into the 12th tithi today, signifying its fullness nearing. Wednesday, December 3rd Today's Intention: Our vulnerabilities are the source of our greatest power. Moon continues to transit Aries, a Mars ruled sign, and we may be feeling the extra heat. Mars is exalted right now in Capricorn, and four plants are still transiting Scorpio, another Mars ruled sign. We will likely feel this in the emotional body the most, but this may then overheat the mind and body. Take note, less is more right now, and be diligent with your emotional body needs. Listen to its messages! Moon finishes up in Ashwini nakshatra at 12:13 am CST, when it pops into Bharani nakshatra. Bharani nakshatra enlivens Yama and Venus. This is a fierce and transformational nakshatra, connected to death and dying, restraint and also sensitivity. Today we are reminded about our deep vulnerabilities and how to work with them in a very intentional way. Our vulnerabilities are in fact our biggest strengths, and a resource for our greatest center of power. These vulnerabilities are rooted in the second chakra, our pelvis, which is why the symbol of Bharani is not surprising- the yoni. Finding your power center requires standing firmly in the stability of your pelvis. Thursday, December 4th Today's Intention: The nature of life is to grow and progress, and ultimately to find balance. Moon transits into Krittika nakshatra at 11:51 am CST, receiving drishti still from exalted Mars and now in a Nakshatra ruled by the Sun. The emotional body is hot today! With the Moon now in the 14th tithi, our inner tides are high and we are likely feeling the waters within stronger than ever right now as four planets are transiting Moon's debilitation sign, Scorpio. With the water planet, Venus, now perched on the edge of Scorpio, our inner waters are extra sensitive, extra full, extra vulnerable to the many shifts, changes and fluctuations occurring right now. It's not a comfortable time for many! Krittika nakshatra is ruled by Agni, the fire god of transformation who brings us life, literally. Internally, we have many Agni flames that flicker within, keeping us digesting, burning, transforming and changing in order to live life. Externally, our biggest source of Agni is the Sun (hence the ruler of Krittika). Sun is our ultimate transformational resource within our solar system. If we get too close to the Sun we burn, yet without his light, we die. The Sun, Agni and Krittika, all remind us that just the right amount of purification is best practice- not too much, and not too little. Moon jumps into its exaltation sign, Taurus, at 17:48 CST exemplifying the fullness of our emotional body. Moon is also receiving direct gaze from Sun, Mercury and Saturn in Scorpio now. With the Moon exalted, this gives us three planets feeling their fullness right now (Mars and Jupiter as well). This is your gentle reminder to surf the waves. Contain what needs to be contained, purge what needs to be purged, let go of what needs to be let go of. Three level check-ins will help you with the identification process. Moon shifts into its mulitrikona degrees at 23:10 CST, yet still expresses himself at 75%. Friday, December 5th Today's Intention: If you can dream it, you can create it. Mulitrikona Moon shifts into the extremely creative star, Rohini, at 11:47 am CST, enlivening the blessings of Lord Brahma and by default, his consort Goddess Saraswati. This divine couple expresses their influence through manifestation- manifestation from creativity, creative intelligence, and our divine essence which is cosmic creative life force, or shakti. It is on this level of our sacred being that we maximize our potential, not only as a divine being, but as a human being. On this plane of existence, we are here to create our lives, to manifest our dreams into reality, to learn how to create, to literally bring the unmanifest into manifest form. We do this through our second chakra. And this is the power of being embodied. We can't think our dreams into reality, but we can feel and sense our dreams into reality. This is why I am so passionate about somatic awareness and embodiment work. Read more about manifesting through your second chakra. Moon is now in the 15th tithi as Venus jumps into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra at 16:55 CST. Venus, the creative and passionate planet that symbolizes relationships and the feminine, is in a vulnerable position at this time. Jumping from a sensitive water sign into a fire sign, and right into the challenging nakshatra of Mula. This transit of Venus through Sagittarius takes us through the end of December and will bring a certain discomfort with it, yet a drive to acquire and get material gain. Materialism is not a bad thing- we are after all here in a human form to manifest, create and work directly with our limitless abundance. Yet the wisdom seeking Sagittarius ruled by the guru himself, Jupiter, is not friendly with the asura demon god, Venus. We may find ourselves tangled in the dance of spirit vs. materialism this month. If you are feeling guilt, shame, lack and any aspects of poverty consciousness arrive, I highly suggest working directly with your money problems right now. My favorite technique for overcoming money blockages is the Emotional Freedom Technique. This is a great month to pick of Margaret Lynch's book, Tapping Into Wealth. Saturday, December 6th Today's Intention: Keep reaching towards what nourishes you. Moon is full at 06:26 am CST while in Taurus and Rohini nakshatra. Read my Full Moon Wisdom + Creative Ritual for the Waning Moon Cycle. Moon moves into Mrigashirsha nakshatra at 12:07 pm CST, and Soma, divine nourishment, becomes our primary resource. Soma is another name for the Moon, and is connected to the immortal nectar that brings lasting and unyielding nourishment to us. The Moon's rays are said to offer us Soma, as the filtered rays of the Sun, we can assimilate the light as a healing force, rather than a heating and harming force. The gifts of Soma and the Moon have the power for us to get our needs met, to get the nourishment we need and to find the gifts we are seeking. Mrigashirsha nakshatra is a resourceful constellation and it helps us to branch out, reach out, proliferate and expand. Use this as the metaphor for your day. Expand, grow, nourish and be nourished, and let this be healing. Sunday, December 7th Today's Intention: Play big or go home. Just after midnight, the Moon jumps into Gemini. Out of Rahu's gaze now, as well as Saturn, Mercury and Sun, Moon now receives direct gaze from Venus in Sagittarius. Creativity heightens and we may experience more fluidity and flow of resources today- financial, communication, relational etc. As Moon shifts into Rahu's nakshatra, Ardra, at 12:55 pm CST, a powerful shift occurs. Rahu offers his level of intensity, while Ardra's ruler, Rudra, brings a certain ferocity and strength. End the weekend strong, by finishing tasks, projects and to-do lists, but stay out of the mire, emotional snares, and relationship traps. Mental body and emotional body sensitivity will be intensified. Moon is waning, yet still very full of energy. Mind your emotional body wisdom, tend to its needs, and take care of it by channeling intense emotions effectively. Get the emotions up and out, keep them moving, express them in healthy and cathartic ways, but don't dump on others. This intensity carries us through the greater part of Monday, so keep this in mind as you start your week off with a bang! Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. The waxing phase culminates this week on the 6th with a full Moon in Aries. I share details below, but look for a Full Moon Wisdom article and new horoscopes later this week with even more details.
The big shift of Saturn into Scorpio has now happened. Saturn is barely adjusting to Scorpio and still under a degree. My advise from last week about getting embodied is still relevant- and carries through the waning Moon cycle. Stay grounded and in your body as much as possible. Mercury shifts into Libra once again and emotional tides are high with the full Moon, so be aware that life may feel overwhelming, big, expansive and very new in many ways. Take action steps gently, create alliances, and celebrate your path. We are all in for a Scorpio type adventure for the next 2.5 years! If you haven't had a Saturn yagya yet, now's the time! Monday, November 3rd Today's Intention: Loosen the grip you have on yourself. Lighten your load. Moon moves into Pisces at 02:55 am CST, joining Ketu there, while receiving drishti from Jupiter, Mercury and Rahu. Then Moon moves into Uttarabhadrapada at 08:30 am. This awakens Ahirbudhnya, another son of Vishvakarma. He is considered the serpent of the deep, and rules over the nether regions, the hidden realms, and our subconscious mind. He is also a Rudra like his brother Ajaikapada, but he removes misfortune and can grant enjoyment, refreshments and delights. The symbol here is the back legs of a funeral cot, exemplifying the final release, letting go. Fruitful endeavors can be granted, or old struggles can be released. Work with the subconscious mind today and unravel, loosen and release the old tangled webs holding you back from your goals! Venus moves to Vishaka nakshatra at 19:52 CST. Alliances, relationships and the ability to co-create with others, proves especially valuable and important in the coming weeks. Work diligently with partnerships, team building, and giving gratitude for the resources others bring into your life. We accomplish nothing alone. Invite others into your world and accomplish more! Vishaka reminds us that giving and receiving makes the world go round! Mercury nears the edge of Virgo, its sign of exaltation, and is now sandhi. Both Saturn (physical body) and Mercury (mental body) are sandhi right now as Moon (emotional body) nears Ketu (our awakened shadows). Get embodied and stay grounded in the moment as much as possible right now. It's too easy to slip out of the body and get lost in the mind and thoughts. Moon is waxing and in the 12th tithi (Moon phase) now. Full Moon this week on the 6th in Aries! The doors close at midnight tonight on my Early Bird pricing for my Dharma Foundations Course!! Moon moves to Revati nakshatra at 06:53 am CST, inviting in Pushan and another level of Mercury to our day. Moon nears exact conjunction with Ketu, so expect some mental sparks today. Especially because Rahu gives his drishti, as well as a sandhi Mercury who is ready to jump into Libra. Mars also gives his gaze, intensifying the heat and fire element. Emotions may be invoked, or provoked today, so be sure to do a 3 level check in for greater awareness about your needs. Pushan insures our safe travels, nourishes our path, and helps us to flourish, prosper and create increase. He is a guardian for journeys that are on the material level and astral level- those beyond the human body. He leads us to abundance and a sense of thriving. Mercury moves back into Libra today at 09:37 am CST, joining debilitated Sun, and Venus there in its own sign. Mercury is here until November 24th. Libra becomes the center of our attention once again, invoking a need for greater balance, harmony and movement in our lives. Relationships, co-creating and nourishing communication are all vital right now. Inspire and get inspired. Seek solutions. In just a few short weeks, our attention and energy will shift to Scorpio, when we will have a cluster of four planets in this sign. Transformations are afoot, but for now, focus on re-centering, re-balancing and re-stabilizing. Wednesday, November 5th Today's Intention: Self care is non-negotiable. Put your needs first. Let healthy boundaries rejuvenate you. Mars moves out of Mula nakshatra at 02:47 am CST and into PurvaAshada, ruled by the Water goddess Apas and the planet Venus. This brings us a shift into greater flow, ease and fluidity- which becomes more possible in our action steps. Sensitivity and feelings are increased, as well as greater invitation for rejuvenation and purification. If you haven't already begun your fall cleanse, now is the time to take action steps toward clearing and cleaning your physical body. It is also vital to be clearing and cleaning your mental/emotional bodies as well. Cleanse from the inside out. But gently, not harshly. The ruler here, Apas, is the water goddess who can increase fluidity and flow for us. Take note if you need more life nourishment, monetary flow, love and creativity. Use this wisdom to get you started. Moon is now in the 14th tithi, nearing complete fullness, and jumps into Aries and Ashwini nakshatra at 05:25 am CST, inviting in another level of rejuvenation and healing thanks to the Ashwini-kumara twins. Their domain includes rasayanas, which bring strength and vitality. Both the creative arts and the healing arts fall under their domain. Moon receives drishti from the three planets in Libra: debilitated Sun, Venus in its own sign, and now Mercury, who is still in young degrees. A strong sense of balance is desired today. Seek solutions and resources for getting your needs met. Moon moves to the 15th tithi at 18:06 CST and the fullness begins! Thursday, November 6th Today's Intention: Be filled. But first, remove all that does not create space for your own fulfillment. Moon moves to Bharani nakshatra at 04:12 am CST, inviting in Yama and another level of Venus to our day, and our full Moon experience. Drishti on the Moon from three planets in Libra is still relevant thanks to debilitated Sun, Venus in its own sign, and now Mercury, who has crossed over the two degree mark. We are still working with a strong need for balance- a general theme for this time period. Work with the stability available from the pelvis in order to ground, and root. Seek solutions and resources for getting your needs met. Invite in flow and fluidity. Be vigilant with second chakra messages. Moon is completely full at 16:21 CST in Aries and Bharani nakshatra. The Vishva Devas are enlivened when the Moon is in Purnima, fullness. Creativity, light and expression are available to us in greater capacity. With the Moon in Bharani nakshatra at this time, Yama brings an element of restraint and containment to us. He is an enforcer- of Natural Law, of right and wrong, of karma. He insists on transformation and brings it to us through his truth. Everyone at some point will have to face the scrutiny of Yama. He tells it like it is. The harsh realities of life and death. Bharani is therefor considered an Ugra nakshatra- one that is harsh and dreadful. Cutting, executive decisions and abilities are possible, as well as success in destruction and interrupting. Read more about the Full Moon in Bharani nakshatra and the coming waning Moon cycle. I've also posted my waning Moon cycle Creative Ritual to help you work with the themes of this cycle. Take yourself from flicker to flame, ash to akasha. Moon transits into Krittika nakshatra at 03:21 am CST, inviting in the deity Agni and its ruler Sun to our day. Today invites in a sense of purification, clarifying and a need for greater digestion and assimilation. Use the creative arts and embodiment for increasing the necessary flow and fluidity in your life. Your digestion process has a direct impact on your ability to create, re-generate and revitalize yourself. Work with your fire and its transformational abilities. Today is about shifting, changing and re-creating. Moon hops into Taurus at 09:12 am CST, and goes into its exaltation degrees until 14:30 am CST. As Soon as Moon shifts into Taurus, it receives drishti from Saturn in Scorpio and Rahu in Virgo. Intensity in the body and with our shadows, stirs the emotional body. This position of exalted Moon, however, exemplifies the expansiveness of the emotional body and can bring with it tidal waves. Ride these waves. Purge, release and transform through the wisdom of the emotional body. Use my Creative Ritual to explore the transformational level of your current experiences and conflicts. Saturday, November 8th Today's Intention: Get moving and get creative. Feel your desires, then take action! Moon moves into Rohini nakshatra at 02:58 am CST, enlivening the support of lord Brahma and his consort goddess Saraswati. Moon is in Taurus and considered in its sign of mulitrikona, a strong placement for the felt senses, creativity and self expression. Doubly so because of its Rohini placement right now. Rahu gives his drishti, as does Saturn. This creates some extra pressures on the Moon and increases and heightens the intensity of our feelings. Think of it like an amplification or choppy waters. How can you channel this in a way that moves you, inspires you and gets your creativity flowing? Go bold and start manifesting your desires. Open your channels of creativity and get your life moving! Sunday, November 9th Today's Intention: Sense, feel and reach into your dreams in order harvest your action steps. Moon moves to Mrigashirsha nakshatra 03:09 am CST inviting in the deity Soma, and the planet Mars. Divine nourishment, the nectar of life is available to feed us today. Sensing, feeling, reaching and branching out in order to thrive are the resources for our day. Seek the nectar that will nourish you from your depths, to your tips. From feet to head, first chakra (your roots) all the way to your 7th chakra (your celestial being). Don't neglect your roots, for this is the foundation you need for growth and abundance. Mercury moves to Swati nakshatra at 04:48 am CST, which encourages movement and change within our mental body, our communications and commerce. The deity Vayu rules over Swati nakshatra. He is present in breath, prana, as well as wind and air. His ability to move us, shift and change us, can be felt in soft, gentle breezes, or strong, stormy gusts. Working with the ever fluctuating mental body in the coming weeks will be vital. Three level check ins are a must. Harness the winds of the mind and you harness your being. Moon moves to Gemini at 15:29 CST, and receives drishti from Mars. Whenever Moon and Mars connect, there is dance with fire and water. This combination can increase anger, passion, and our attraction to red. It can also bring strength and blessings from the divine mother. Look for the opening, the gift, in the challenges and intensity that arrive. Anger is a potent and powerful gift to receive! Monday, November 10th Today's Intention: Roar like you've never roared before! Moon moves to Ardra nakshatra at 03:58 am CDT, inviting in Rudra and Rahu into our day. Moon receives direct gaze from Mars, increasing the emotional intensity available with Ardra. The morning, and our week, start off with a bang! Rudra brings immense power and strength with him and when he combines with the Moon, this can bring immense emotional currents. This is why Ardra is connected to anger and the ferocity that anger offers us. (Anger is like a big wave, not like a ripple on the water.) Anger is an exceptional gift if used properly. When used improperly, it is a mental body dysfunction. When our anger is resourced from our emotional body wisdom, our sensing, it can be used as a tool of activation, motivation and power. It can be a dharmic gift, a 3rd chakra oriented self empowerment tool. How do you find the gift in anger? Look at the needs it is sharing with you. That need can be a huge source of awakening for you. It takes willingness, action steps and courage to go into the depth of your needs and use them as a personal development resource. Your anger can get you there and Rudra can make this happen. Charge forward today and roar loudly! Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. This is a powerful week! Mercury is retrograde, and the full Moon on Wednesday brings with it a full lunar eclipse. We enter a delicate two week period between lunar and solar eclipses at this time. Take this into consideration with your actions and intentions. We are working with shadow and illusions in this gap of time. Dance with them intentionally and may you lift the veil of illusion in some new way!
Monday, October 6th Today’s Intention: Take one step at a time. Take each step with intention. Keep your commitment to grounding, while finding your balance. But keep moving. Moon moves to Purvabhadrapada nakshatra at 03:12 am CDT, inviting in Ajaikapada and another level of Jupiter into our day. Moon is receiving drishti from Mars while it transits Aquarius, which offers charge, action and increased fire. Purvabhadrapada is connected to tapas and penance. Ajaikapada is a form of Shiva, lord of the dance, and reminds us of our human capabilities- balancing struggles, challenges and obstacles as we move forward in life. Pada means foot. It is essential to remember slow, simple steps again today. As Ajaikapada dances, he balances, one foot raised, and one foot firmly grounded. There is a certain purpose, a direct gaze (drishti) and a strong commitment that one must have to keep this sense of balance and grounding simultaneously. These are your reminders for today. Slow, steady steps, using great commitment and purpose as you move. Intention will be a poignant reminder as well. Since Ajaikapada is a Rudra, there is immense strength available here. At what costs are you willing to move forward? Lighten your load, it will make it easier to dance through life. Moon moves to Pisces at 19:25 CDT, joining Ketu there. Moon receives drishti from debilitated Venus, Sun and also Rahu, as well as Jupiter from nine houses away. This will intensify our experience over the next few days leading into the full Moon. More on this in my upcoming Moon Mind Calendar and Full Moon Wisdom article. Tuesday October, 7th Today's Intention: The desire to change ourselves and our lives, requires that we dig deeply down into our depths. Moon transits Pisces with Ketu there as well. Moon and Ketu both receive ample gaze from debilitated Venus, Sun and also Rahu, as well as Jupiter from nine houses away. This will intensify our experience over the next few days leading into the full Moon tomorrow. Just after midnight, Moon jumps into Uttarabhadrapada at 00:51 am CDT. This nakshatra is the latter half of the bhadrapada constellation which symbolizes the front half and back half of a funeral cot; death, transformation and letting go are the focus here. Uttarabhadrapada is ruled by Ahirbudhnya, the serpent of the deep. He is a naga serpent connected to wisdom (not a sarpa serpent connected to illusions) which indicates his immense and vast knowledge- knowledge and wisdom that must be excavated deeply for. He is connected to our subconscious mind, the pieces of our being that are ruling us, but that we must work hard to uncover and transform. He is a serpent, but a serpent we can work with, learn and grow from. The back legs of a funeral cot symbolize that Uttarabhadrapada is helping us liberate, let go of and let the pieces of our story move, change and release. Yesterday we began a very intentional dance- moving us towards the full Moon lunar eclipse and waning Moon cycle. Today, let that dance transform into a very intentional release. What shadows and demons are you ready to release, transform and let go of? The Moon is already in the 15th tithi, the final phase of its waxing phase. Our cups are full and overflowing. It's time to release and let go. Do this with poignancy, intention and commitment as we embark on this final eclipse cycle of the year. Moon moves to Revati nakshatra at 22:38 CDT, nearing exact conjunction with Ketu. Wednesday, October 8th Today's Intention: Total eclipse of the heart. Soften and release, but courageously look at your shadows. Moon will be completely full at 05:49 am CDT while in Pisces and Revati nakshatra. Simultaneously, there will be a lunar eclipse occurring. The eclipse begins at 03:17 am CDT and continues until 08:32 am CDT. The maximum part of the eclipse will be at 05:55 am CDT. Moon in Revati nakshatra at the time of the eclipse in Pisces furthers the symbol of release, endings and letting go while strengthening themes of its ruling planet Mercury. Pushan, the ruling deity of Revati, insures our safe passage and travels, and requests simplicity and purity. He is a protector and helps us find our way back to the path when we are lost. He also can help us retrieve lost or stolen items. This is a special waning Moon cycle that offers us many returns, on multiple levels. Be willing and open to receive messages that will help you strengthen your path, return to and restore your sense of well being, hope and possibility. Be open to comfort and nourishment and reminders that life doesn't have to be hard and forced- it can be lighter and more gentle. This requires us to clear away rubble, debris and anything blocking our path, so vital clearing is truly essential during this eclipse cycle. For full details on the eclipse and the coming waning Moon cycle read my Full Moon Wisdom article. Moon jumps into Aries at 20:44 CDT and into Ashwini nakshatra. Thursday, October 9th Today's Intention: Don't get led by your senses. Reign in your horses. As Moon transits Aries in Ashwini nakshatra, our two week eclipse cycle begins with the Ashwini-Kumara twins leading us towards healing and revitalization. Moon also receives drishti (gaze) directly from exalted Saturn and retrograde Mercury. The Ashwini twins enliven the healing arts and beckon us to rejuvenate through healing modalities such as rasayana treatments and using the creative arts to spark change and vitality within us. Ayurveda is their domain and strength comes as a gift of their healing, symbolized here by a horse. The Ayurvedic strengthening herb, Ashwagandha, is connected to the horse and the root word ashva. Today, make sure self care is a top priority. The two weeks between lunar and solar eclipse, and also the gap between summer and winter (fall), is a delicate time for health and well being. It's a sandhi time, so treat yourself with extra TLC. Start your fall cleanse today if you haven't already. I'm unveiling my new Swati Jr Jewelry collection today. The new Cosmic Collection is inspired by our dance with the Sun, Moon and Stars. Have you joined my FB event? I'll be giving gifts, incentives, discounts and more! Join the trunk show event and get in on the goodies! Moon moves to Bharani nakshatra at 19:16 CDT. Friday, October 10th Today's Intention: Strength and sensitivity go hand in hand. Your vulnerability is your power. Moon transits Bharani nakshatra, ruled by Yama and Venus. Yama brings restraint and is considered the king of dharma, because he determines your karmas at the time of your death. It is through the self control and restraint he provokes that can keep us out of suffering and sin, our own misery. This is a harsh and aggressive nakshatra, one that is ideal for butchering and killing as well as arguments and attacks. The irony is that it is also an extremely sensitive star as seen through its symbol, the yoni. Strength and sensitivity are the perfect pair. Our shadows, our weaknesses, are indeed our greatest gifts. It takes much courage, strength and power to overcome (to kill) our shadows and illusions. Make your actions count and firmly restrain yourself from being led my your asuras (demons). Purify yourself, but always strive for balance. Sun moves to Chitra nakshatra at 13:41 CDT, joining retrograde Mercury and Rahu in this nakshatra. Ruled by Vishvakarma, this is a nakshatra of action, plans and taking powerful, creative steps. The coming weeks are a time to get powerful and poignant, though as Sun nears Rahu, imbalances in our sense of poignancy may be problematic. If there's hesitancy, confusion or lack of clear direction, these are your shadows at play. If you're pushing too hard and forcing outcomes, you are not aligned with the times. Be bold and passionate with your desires, but make sure you are listening to your emotional body wisdom, your intuition, for guidance. Set goals and priorities and get organized! Get creative as the celestial architect Vishvakarma is here to help you rise and shine! Take some solid action steps towards your visions. This alone might clear the fog. Be diligent with your 3 level check in so you don't mix messages of head and heart. Moon moves to Krittika nakshatra at 18:22 CDT. Saturday, October 11th Today's Intention: In order to gain, we must be prepared to lose something. Moon jumps into its degrees of exaltation and into Taurus just minutes after midnight- at 00:14 am CDT. Exaltation only lasts until 05:34 am CDT, but the Moon will still be in its mulitrikona sign where it can maximize its effects at 75%. With Rahu's drishti on the Moon, watch for big rises and falls. Mars also give his direct gaze, making for a piercing and powerful emotional body. Our Moon tides will be high and low; be mindful of extremes and be diligent with emotional body awareness. Do a 3 level check in so you don't mix messages of head and heart. Moon transits Krittika nakshatra at this time and Agni as well as the Sun share their fire with us. Agni is the fire of life and is a powerful transformational part of our beings. We have many different types of Agni within us. We have much to digest: food, emotions, environments, relationships. Agni helps us burn, clarify and purify all of this in order to help us assimilate the nourishment of life. He brings purification, but he cuts and discards in the process. Within any transformation, there is letting go and loss. Krittika is considered a mixed nakshatra; it is both soft and hard. Though we gain nourishment through Agni, we also have to discard what is unnecessary, not useful for us. Consider this a day of the pruning and purifying process. Moon moves to Rohini at 18:08 CDT. Sunday, October 12th Today's Intention: Merge with your abundant creative flow. Go ahead and get lost in it today. Moon transits Rohini nakshatra and Lord Brahma, as well as the creativity of the Moon, are invited into our day. Moon is still in Taurus, its mulitrikona sign (a strong place for the Moon) while receiving drishti from both Rahu and Mars. Our Moon tides will be high and low; be mindful of extremes and be aware of your emotional body awareness. Be diligent with your 3 level check in so you don't mix messages of head and heart. Rohini is arguably the most creative nakshatra as indicated by its ruler Brahma; he created the universe from his navel after all! It's in this vein, we can create, materialize, and align with our true power as mini gods and goddesses in this life time. Our creativity is in fact our one constant gift- offering possibility and our ability to recreate ourselves and our lives over and over again. Without resiliency and reinventing ourselves, life would be stagnant, without growth, change or abundance. Rohini reminds us to welcome in the flow of creativity, the shakti of life, and to rejoice in the material aspects of life now and again. They are a part of this lila, the play of life, after all. Give thanks for for what flows towards you and through you, and let it continue to flow out into the world. Be that gift. Moon moves to Mrigashirsha nakshatra at 18:38 CDT. Monday, October 13th Today's Intention: Nourish from the inside out. Beauty begins within. Moon transits Mirgashisha nakshatra and Soma (another name for Chandra, the Moon) and also Mars are activated. Nourishment from the divine nectar of Soma is life giving. It lubricates the inner channels of our body and keeps us alive and youthful. Soma is lunar energy, but can be cultivated through the right foods and lifestyle practices. Vaidya Rama Kant Mishra speaks readily about "somagenic" qualities in order to enhance our well being. His lineage, the Shaka Vansya Ayurvedic tradition is a wealth of knowledge for increasing Soma within our bodies, mind and emotions. If you are a Moon child like me, and extra sensitive, you will want to educate yourself on this vital health science. The Moon is a creative and charismatic planet. It's sociable and loves to adorn and be adorned. Moon loves beauty, comfort and nourishment. That is why it is connected to Soma. Build soma within you today with self care, creativity and inviting in the Moon; fill your cup of resiliency. Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. |
