This December Full Moon arrives on the 11th at 22:12 MT, while Moon travels through Taurus and Mrigashirsha Nakshatra. Moon's favorite sign is Taurus and truly loves this constellation of Soma where he is considered in his mulitrikona degrees, or his "office". Full Moon in Taurus supports earth magic in the cycle ahead so be clear on what you are manifesting and bringing into form. This is an important time to create something new. At the time of the full Moon, Mars, Mercury and Sun give their drishti to the Moon, creating sharp, clear and focused perception. Four planets are still navigating Sagittarius, including Jupiter, Venus, Saturn and Ketu. Dharma and your spiritual path should be a strong focus right now. Move into right relationship with your dharmic path and purpose. Mrigashirsha nakshatra falls in Taurus and is ruled by the personification of Moon, the god Soma. From a Vedic perspective, the Moon is Soma itself, the divine nectar of life. From an Ayurvedic perspective, staring at a full Moon will allow you to soak up Soma directly and the Moon glow can even heal your eyes. A drink of Moon's Soma supports longevity, vitality and life force. The qualities of this constellation directly support increased Soma- on all levels of life. Soma is lord of the plants, giving them healing and nourishing qualities which are most potent in the waxing cycle. Symbolically, the constellation of Mrigashirsha correlates to the deer and its antlers. Traditionally, deer antlers were ground into a fine powder and used as an aphrodisiac. The quality of the deer and its antlers is constant movement and growth, branching out, extending, finding new green grass, new food sources, more abundance. Mrigashirsha is a soft, gentle constellation with fickle and changeable inclinations just like the Moon and the deer. This full Moon and the waning cycle ahead supports new growth, branching out, extending beyond your comfort zone and moving towards the new. Stagnation is a certain death for anyone born with this constellation placed prominently in their chart. A reminder to move in a new direction in the cycle ahead with conscious intention. Use this cycle to focus and align with your path, purpose and the direction you want to move in. Take action steps and be clear with your intention. Move in a life supportive direction. One that honors your growth, health, vitality and deepest desires. Look for and seek out opportunities that increase your nourishment. Open up new channels and pathways that support life. Expand and branch out. Are you moving in a direction that supports your nourishment? Where are you moving closer to your joy? Where are you moving further away from it? Where do you need to change direction or find a new path? Solstice arrives in the waning cycle ahead on December 21st at 21:19 MT. Considered a time when life seems to stop, or stand still, use this time for pause, meditation and silence. "The term Solstice comes from the Latin word solstitium, meaning 'the Sun stands still'. This is because on this day, the Sun reaches its southern-most position as seen from the Earth. The Sun seems to stand still at the Tropic of Capricorn and then reverses its direction. It's also common to call it the day the Sun turns around." - Via Time and Date As the still point arrives and the reversal of the light takes place, it is a powerful time for introspection and release. This is a time to attend to shadows, grief and undigested emotions. Clearing, purging and releasing lingering emotions from the past cycle will create space for the new, opening you to more life force in the months ahead. What needs to be cleared and released? What is undigested from the previous year, decade? What are you making space for in your life? In 2020, my complete Moon Wisdom offerings will only be shared in my Moon Wisdom Calendar. On the morning of Tuesday, November 26th, the Scorpio new Moon arrives while transiting Anuradha nakshatra. Sun and Moon collide in the sign of depth and transformation while the empty, dark Moon inspires possibility and potential. This is a particularly helpful cycle for turning your darkness into light. Prepare to activate something new and change old patterns and behaviors. What needs to be enlivened and awakened within you? Anuradha nakshatra is ruled by Mitra who supports friendships and connections that support and uplift life. This constellation is also a powerful reminder of transformation and celebration. Symbolized by a triumphal gateway, this portion of the sky ushers in the arrival of improvement, upliftment and achievement. A powerful reminder that our darkness can be shifted and transformed into something life serving and empowering. Through your dharma, release and change your tragedy, pain and struggles into light, awareness and a powerful offering to the world. In the waxing cycle ahead, spend time with quality people, dear friends and trusted allies. Ask for support from those you love and cherish. Work towards co-creation and connection. Acknowledge the challenges you face and commit to transformation and healing. Lighten your load and turn the heaviness and sorrow into ease and gentleness. The medicine for your journey is self love and acceptance. What needs to be reframed? How can you rewrite your story? How do you want to feel and what direction do you want to go? What steps are you committed to taking so you can finally feel successful? As of November 16th, Sun has just moved to Scorpio and out of debilitation, joining Venus here. This will feel like a nice lift after the past month of low energy and deep, inner focus. However Sun will be shining his light now on the depths of Scorpio which supports powerful inner transformation and darkness coming to light. Bring awareness to what needs to shift and where you can support this awakening. Tension comes with the conjunction of Mars and retrograde Mercury in Libra as these two energies want different things. Thinking vs doing may be struggling right now, particularly with matters of relationships and co-creation. Mercury goes direct on November 20th and begins to separate from Mars, until he moves into Scorpio on December 5th. Jupiter is still in Mula nakshatra, having newly entered Sagittarius. Although he is stronger in degrees now, he is still transiting a constellation notorious for uprooting, untangling, clearing and transforming. There is a powerful spiritual process of shape shifting taking place for everyone on the planet right now. Put on your seat belt because we have four more major planets who will be transiting through the powerful gandanta (gap) between Scorpio and Sagittarius taking place between now and January. As Venus, Mercury, Sun, and the Mars, pass through Mula nakshatra in the coming months, we will all be experiencing major life change. This will cause a powerful uprooting, Awakening, and transformation process to take place on all levels of body, mind, spirit and emotions. None of us will be the same by the end of this. Each one of us is making space for something entirely new. Pay attention to what needs to be released and tossed out once and for all so you have the space for an entirely new way of existing. Mars is the last planet to go through the gandanta February 8th, ushering in a completion and focused release which will support entirely new type of action. Pay attention to what steps need to shift and change so you can create very different results for your life and path. Remember that Sagittarius correlates to the 9th house of dharma in the zodiac. As Jupiter, Saturn, Ketu, Venus, Mercury, Sun, Mars and Moon move through this incredibly spiritual placement, your path, purpose and dharma are going through a deep and life changing transformation and refinement. Mediocrity won't be tolerated. What needs to shift so you can be in right relationship with your path and purpose? What is in your way of being connected, aligned, and focused on your dharma more fully? Where are you resisting your passion, desires and inner wisdom? What types of support, guidance and wisdom do you need to support you in this dharmic transition?! Creative Ritual 1) Spend some time journaling about where you are going on your path and what direction you want to move in. What goals do you have? What is the time frame for these goals? What is your vision for your life, for your dharmic gifts, your dharmic business? 2) Create an image of this vision you have for your life and your dharmic offering. What colors, textures, images share the feeling of this vision? Use craypas, collage, paint or any medium that inspires you. Spend 20 minutes on this image or create until it feels complete. 3) Harvest from your image. Give it a title and let it speak. If this image could speak to you, what would it say? Let is answer these questions: I am I want I need What action steps, choices and behaviors are moving you closer to your dharmic vision? What actions, choices and behaviors are moving you further away from your dharmic vision? Ready for more? Listen to my Podcast for Increasing Your Manifestation Skills Join me for an end of year

CLAIM YOUR SPOT IN THIS SPECIAL RITUAL BY BOOKING A FREE 15 MIN CHAT WITH ME HERE The November Full Moon arrives early morning on the 12th at 06:34am MT, while Moon is transiting Aries and Bharani nakshatra. A re-birthing arrives with this cycle- so plan accordingly. Restraint and focus are required in the coming weeks. Clarify your needs and open to something new. This waning cycle will support the shedding and release of your old self, while supporting the arrival of a new, upgraded version of yourself as well. Have you cleared what needs to be released so you can make space for the new? Bharani nakshatra is ruled by Yama, Lord of restraint. He is responsible for judging your karmas after death, determining what direction your soul goes in the after life. He can be cruel with his discernment and does not allow anyone to escape their actions, choices, or behaviors. Yama is the ultimate judge on all levels of life- reminding us that every action has a reaction and a consequence. Interestingly, the constellation of Bharani is symbolized by the Yoni. This is a portion of the sky connected to birthing, bringing forth something new. It is both vulnerable, sensual, and sensitive, as well as immensely powerful and strong. Bharani reminds us that we often we must go through restraint, and restriction in order to clarify and align with a new path, a new direction, a new life. Notice what is being refined right now in your life. Acknowledge where you are feeling pinched, pruned, forced to clarify your needs and desires. Are you being clear about your direction and focus? Do you know where to focus your gaze? Your action steps and energy? Use this waning cycle to clean up your path and purpose. If you are misaligned or being frivolous, Yama will put the smack down and force you to make some hard choices. He will also support ease and fluidity when you are aligned with right action, dharma. Notice what is being supported and what is not. It's time to make some choices about where you want to go, and what you want to create for your life. If you aren't getting the support of Natural Law that you want and need, you need to redirect and pivot. Sun is still debilitated in Libra until the 16th of November, joined by retrograde Mercury and Mars right now. Watch for relationship tensions and seek balance with others. With Venus in Scorpio, an exchange of energy between Venus and Mars takes place for the coming weeks. This supports clarity, precision, and new insights with relationships. Seek transformation and release. Jupiter has officially landed in his own sign, Sagittarius, for the coming year, however he's still in the gandanta of Mula and in sandhi degrees. This is a delicate time for teachers, healers, therapists and those who share knowledge and wisdom with others. You are going through a deep, inner uprooting. Trust the process and reinvent yourself. Creative Ritual Warrior Wisdom: Masking and unmasking the inner warrior. Part 1 1) Start by standing. Feel your feet firmly connected to the earth and notice the ripple-effect this creates throughout the body. Bring presence to your spine, shoulders, chest. Breathe and note your mental experience as you shift your body into a strong standing pose. Be here for a few minutes. 2) Next, assume a "warrior pose" for yourself. What shape does it have? What body parts are being used? What is your connection to earth? To space? How does this effect your mental/emotional bodies? Hold this for a few minutes and take mental notes. Try another "warrior pose" if you'd like to have a contrasting experience. 3) Write it down. Come to your notebook and write some of your thoughts and experiences down. This is "internal tracking" that will inform your process. 4) Next, create a mask for your warrior. Come to your drawing pad. Using paint, craypas, or any other medium that inspires you, create an image of your warrior. Spend 20 minutes on this image. Who is your warrior? What does it offer you? Share with you? Provide you with? How do you feel with this warrior on? What do you do together/not do together? Does your warrior have a name? Part 2 Let part one digest and integrate. When you feel ready, let Part 2 deepen your process. 1) Unmasking. Beginning with gentle movements that awaken somatic awareness, lie on your back and gently lift the chest with an inhale, relax on the exhale. Repeat several times until you feel the chest opening and the shoulder blades responding. Next rock the pelvis with gentle tilts coordinating your movements with inhales and exhales. Find a gentle spinal twist and then move into any series of poses that bring more awareness to breath, spine, and grounding. Take a 5-10 min sivasana to close. 2) Create. When your body excavation is complete, come to your drawing pad. With your warrior mask in mind (or nearby), complete a drawing of what is behind the mask- or the unmasking of your warrior. If you could take off this warrior mask, what would you find? Who is behind the mask? What is there and what does it feel like? What messages does it have for you? If your unmasking could speak, what would it say? 3) Harvest. What did you harvest from this process? What is the wisdom of your warrior? What is the wisdom of unmasking your warrior? How can you hold both? I am on a mission to help sensitive women connect with their inner truth and inner wisdom. To connect with purpose and dharma. We need you now more than ever!
Every week I offer two *free* dharma coaching sessions to action takers who are ready for deep life change. Is this you?! Send me a message to see if I have any openings: swatijrjyotish@gmail.com Normally, Jupiter's transits are a year long, but this year-long transit of Jupiter moving through Sagittarius is unusual and not straight forward. Sagittarius is Jupiter's most balanced transit, however, he must contend with Saturn and Ketu for the majority of his passage through his favorite fire sign. Sadly, a large part of this transit is cut short as Jupiter enters his debilitation sign for several months. Unfortunately, we won't get the full benefits of Jupiter in his most balanced, comfortable placement, however, there are still many spiritual benefits that we can look forward to. As Jupiter lands in Sagittarius on November 4th, he enters the challenging gandanta of Mula nakshatra while also joining Saturn and Ketu in this sign. Expect inevitable restructuring, contraction, losses and grief thanks to Saturn and Ketu. There will be clearing and releasing taking place, which can ultimately lead to more gains further down the road. Remember that Jupiter wants to purify, so listen carefully to his requests. What are you making space for? When Jupiter collides with Saturn and Ketu, a natural restructuring will be taking place. Saturn is the planet of grief and has an energy of contraction. Ketu is highly spiritual, disembodied, and shows us where we need more connection and awareness. Jupiter will be bringing the necessary wisdom and support that is needed to heal, grow, expand, and find more wholeness on your dharmic path. Saturn will move to his own sign, Capricorn, on January 23rd, 2020 which will give Jupiter a little breathing room while he transits Sagittarius. However, Jupiter then shifts to Capricorn, his sign of debilitation, on March 29th, 2020, where he will have to contend with Saturn once again- while feeling the pinch of debilitation simultaneously. This can squeeze and cause pressure to Jupiter's expansive ways. A debilitated planet can't offer much outer support as its energy turns inward. This transit can cause challenges with all things Jupiter- so be mindful of what needs are surfacing and what changes and adjustments need to be made on your dharmic path. Once Jupiter lands in Capricorn and goes debilitated, then goes retrograde on May 14th, a reversal will take place called Neecha Bhanga. A debilitated planet that goes into retrograde motion is said to become exalted- almost. This will strengthen the effect of Jupiter and will offer more support while he moves through Capricorn, however, it's not a complete cancellation. I've found personally that much of the impact of the debilitation can still be felt- so be mindful that this is still a delicate transit. Sagittarius is a fire sign that is deeply connected to spiritual desires. As the number nine, it naturally reflects the wisdom of the 9th house of dharma. Symbolized by an archer pulling his arrow back, this sign needs to remember to take action, not just prepare. There is a tendency for "over-preparation" with this sign, rather than taking focused, right-action. Notice where you are causing delays, creating obstructions, resisting forward momentum. The support will be here for you to move forward, but you must take the steps to make it happen. This sign wants fairness and justice, as well as truth. The shadow side to this sign is dogma, puritanical beliefs and ideals. Jupiter in Sagittarius: November 4th, 2019 to November 19th, 2020: Moves to Capricorn on March 29th, 2020 Retrograde May 14th, 2020 Moves back to Sagittarius on June 29th, 2020 Goes direct on September 12th, 2020 Jupiter is a planet of sattva, purity. His intention is to purify what is impure and to awaken pure knowledge. He prefers the spiritual realms and offers spiritual support and guidance when well placed in the natal chart. When we go against him, he can be overpowering in his attempts to bring us back to spiritual harmony and balance. As the planet of expansion, satwa (purity) and akasha (space), Jupiter brings us knowledge and wisdom as well as new awareness. The Sanskrit name for Jupiter is guru (teacher), expressing the support and nourishment he provides. As Jupiter moves around the zodiac, he sparks learning and growth through wisdom, guidance, support and resources. Whatever he touches, he expands- which may feel helpful or uncomfortable at times. Jupiter transits are roughly one year long and impact all levels of wisdom, knowledge, comfort and support. He leads you to your dharmic path and supports the nourishment gained along the way. Positive effects of Jupiter bring comfort, support and understanding. He brings learning through greater awareness and expansion of consciousness- which of course is not always comfortable. He is the ultimate teacher (for better or worse) providing some of the most poignant life lessons. Challenges with Jupiter include lack of support, knowledge, and dharma. When Jupiter is not strong in the chart, there may be little to no support offered, few resources or missed opportunities. Dharma may be impossible to find with a weak or challenging Jupiter in the natal chart. Everyone can benefit from the helpful and supportive resources that Jupiter provides. However, without his support, challenges and struggles increase- which often bring tragedy, trauma and chaos. As the guru, he represents teachers of all sorts- including coaches, healers, guides, mentors, therapists, wisdom keepers and shaman. Receiving the blessings of Jupiter requires that you allow the nourishment and wisdom of this type of support to be received. Negative influences upon Jupiter in the jyotish chart, will create challenging experiences with teachers and a resistance to knowledge and wisdom. Whereas positive influences upon Jupiter in the jyotish chart will offer nourishing and supportive experiences with teachers, wisdom and guides. If Jupiter is a naturally benefic, or positive planet, in your chart, the coming transit can naturally offer more gains, expansion and support on your spiritual path. This can be an especially powerful time for your dharmic path as Sagittarius naturally pulls from the 9th house of dharma. Jupiter loves dharma, right action, spiritual gifts and wisdom. He is a great support for aligning and clarifying your dharmic path. Using this time wisely will be important for making progress on your path and getting soul level support. If Jupiter is not a positive resource for you, this transit can offer certain challenges with knowledge, wisdom, guidance and support- especially for your dharmic path. You may lose support, be forced to restructure, face hardships and lack of resources. The impact of a weak Jupiter will likely be felt as he moves through Mula nakshatra and goes debilitated in Capricorn. November 4th, 2019 to January 4th, 2020: Jupiter in Mula Nakshtra This is a time of powerful restructuring, uprooting and change. Mula is a gandanta- a gap between water and fire- notorious for uprooting on the psycho-emotional body levels. Ruled by the dark goddess, Nirrti, this cycle is especially important for your dharmic path. Are you making choices that move you closer to dharma or further away from it? Address self sabotage, resistance to your growth, and the neglect of your souls purpose. You may experience challenges, obstructions, or delays on your dharmic path. Gather the support, guidance, resources and tools you need to move forward with more clarity and focus. Don't lose sight of your goals, disires and spiritual intentions. Seek spiritual insights and wisdom, as well as deeper self trust. What needs to change once and for all- so you can finally move forward with more ease and gentleness? A clearing is taking place. Allow the release to take place. Next steps will be planting your seeds of desire and intention. January 4th, 2020 to March 7th, 2020: Jupiter in PurvaAshada Nakshatra As Jupiter moves through PurvaAshada, the water goddess, Apas, enlivens. This is a constellation of perspiration and effort- which results in fruitful rewards. This transits supports purification, release and transformation- especially on the phsyical body level. This is powerful time for cleansing and cleaning up your lifestyle and diet. Seek resources, support, guidance and tools that help you purify your life. Where there is impurity, Jupiter will be requesting you do clean up. Clear away the excess, the impure, the malnourishment. Make space for your deepest desires, nourishment and support. It's time to up-level on all levels of your life! Use this time to water the vision, desires and goals you have for your life path and purpose. Focus your attention and actions on the direction you want to go and make the necessary space for what you truly desire. March 7th, 2020 to July 26th, 2020: UttaraAshada Nakshatra The intention of UttaraAshada is right action. Ruled by the Vishva Devas, goodness, truth, and purity are their desire. The "all gods" will support righteous behavior and choices, but adharma will not be tolerated. Are you in right-relationship with your dharmic path, your souls purpose? This constellation can be a powerful boon for the dharmic path, but if you are misaligned, you will be asked to clarify and refine your actions and choices. If you aren't getting the support you would like, it's time to take a different course of action. You are off path somehow. What needs to shift in order for more right-action? What is your focus and intention right now? What are your desires? Clarify your direction and where you are putting your energy. What action steps move you closer to your goals, your dharmic path? What action steps are wasting your time and energy? Now is the time to get the lasting results you truly desire for your path and purpose. Don't hesitate and don't delay. July 26th, 2020 to October 29th, 2020: Back to PurvaAshada Nakshatra October 29th, 2020 to January 6th, 2021: Back to UttaraAshada Nakshatra |
